Rajasthan and Kerala in Limelight
Well, if you are about to spend your time in India in the month of March, Rajasthan and Kerala are the two states you must visit. It is in these two states of India, most of the action can be caught.
If plenty of temple festivals happen in Kerala, elephant festival in Jaipur graces Rajasthan. Moreover, during the month of March, major Indian festival, Holi, is celebrated all across India.
Uthralikavu Pooram
Dedicated to Goddess Kali, it is one of the major Kerala temple festivals. International Yoga Festival
If you are interested in Yoga, the International Yoga Festival is a must for you. More than 400 people from over 30 countries participate in it. Known as one of the largest yoga gatherings in the world, classes are conducted from world class Yoga teachers. India's leading spiritual leaders also participate in it. It will be held from March 1 to March 7, 2011.
Yaksha

Organized by Isha Yoga Center, Yaksha promises to be a celestial feast, especially for music lovers. The event is exactly held from February 24 to March 2, 2011.
Maha Shivaratri
Lord Shiva is one of the most prominent God figures in Indian context. Maha Shivaratri, the Great Night of Shiva, is performed as it is believed that his cosmic Tandava dance is the source of the cycle of creation, preservation, and destruction. Loads of devotees worship Lord Shiva in wake of Maha Shivratri that arelargely organized at Shiva temples. Exact date is March 3, 2011.
Goa Carnival
This colorful Carnival held in Goa is associated with the Portuguese rulers of the 18th century. It is the state’s most important event. With parades, floats, music, and masked dances, the event is simply amazing. It is held from March 5t to March 8, 2011.
Other events are Thirunakkara Arattu, Kerala (March 15-24), Arattupuzha Pooram, Kerala (March 18, 2011), Jaipur Elephant Festival, Rajasthan (March 19, 2011), Holi, all over India (March 20, 2011).
