India Tourism Gets Impetus at Geneva Festival

India gets a solid boost at Geneva Festival in the month of August. Though the occasion was confined to showcasing the upcoming festival, India was called as a guest of honour. Now this is something significant for the Indian tourism industry as Indian economy is buoying at a rapid pace. It has established itself as the second largest and fastest growing economy of the world.

In the wake, Geneva's tourism authority is expecting to attract some 5,000 tourists from the Indian vicinities. It has been revealed during the 10-day event and as a result India was invited as the guest of honour.

In fact, the current effort is also a strong indicator of steady growth of Indian tourism industry. As things are going as of now, it is believed that India is surely going to be one of the nations reigning supreme on the world travel map.

The present festival is a 10-day long festival organized in and around Lake Geneva. The best part of this event is the focusing on everything right from cuisines to fun laden entertainment spanning from handicraft to many other things.

What’s more, some formality also underwent in wake of informal interaction during this festival. As the official was here to sign a memorandum of understanding, it will surely boost the Indian travel industry at the end of the day.

As far as statistics are concerned, Indian tourist going to Geneva stand at 1.7 percent of the total inflow of 2.58 million to the city.
